Exercise Physiology

Exercise Physiology is the study of how the human body reacts to physical exercise, in both the long and short term, and how the body adapts to ongoing exercise and any changes in a routine.

A number of service providers throughout the region are contracted to provide these services.  All service providers must maintain a Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology (CSEP) certification as a Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP).

The following tests and athlete monitoring are available, depending on the sport or athlete needs:

  • Maximal Aerobic Capacity
  • Anaerobic Power / Capacity
  • Critical Power / Speed
  • Maximal Aerobic Power
