Research & Development

The Alberta Sport Development Centre – Calgary Region programs are developed through an evidenced based approach using research by University Faculty typically lead by those within the Department of Physical Education & Recreation at Mount Royal.  Through this working relationship with Faculty, the ASDC – Calgary Region will provide programs and services to emerging athletes and coaches by offering leading edge theory and practical applications for provincial level athletes.

The ASDC – Calgary Region will also work with Faculty and High Performance Coaches to develop and integrate specific Yearly Training Programs, tailored to the needs of individual athletes to ensure full performance potential.

The ASDC – Calgary Region will utilize students to be leaders in the practical application and delivery of sport science and sport medicine services to the provincial sporting community.

Below are links to some of the current research being produced by Faculty members at Mount Royal including those in the Department of Physical Education and Recreation Studies.
