The ASDC Network will work towards attaining the following goals:
- Increase podium performances of Alberta athletes at the Winter & Summer Canada Games
- To be the #1 service provider for sport science programs and services for all provincial level athletes and organizations in the province of Alberta
- To actively seek and collaberate with academia on research initiatives for emerging athletes & coaches and act as a resource for data collection and program implementation
- Increase Alberta athletes / coaches who represent Alberta on or at National / International / Professional competitions
- Educate coaches, volunteers and parents on the Long Term Athlete Development Framework
The ASDC - Calgary Region will work towards attaining the following goals:
- To support ten (10) provincial training groups with the delivery of the Athlete & Coach Enhancement Program
- Offer six (6) Winning Edge Seminars throughout the year focuses on life skills
- Provide two (2) educational opportunities for emerging coaches to learn and integrate the Canadian Sport for Life framework into their yearly training program
- Brand awareness and presence at two (2) provincial sport association coaching conferences or seminars, to facilitate coach development
- Increase our membership to 250 clients
We will achieve these goals by offering a fully integrated sport science environment providing programs and services to all emerging elite athletes, coaches, administrators and organizations. These programs and services will focus on a holistic approach while partnering with sport organizations to identify gaps within specific training cycles.
